I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
